Help for Freeset
Posted on August 15, 2013 Written by
Hey, gang! Sorry we've been abroad from here since Monday. We started school and several of our extra-curricular activities terminal week, so we're a niggling tedious getting back into the swing of things. One of the things we were able to participate in this calendar week was helping our friends at Freeset. If you are unfamiliar with Freeset, their mission is simple: to rescue women from the sexual activity merchandise and requite them a life of freedom…
Freeset is a off-white merchandise business concern offering employment to women trapped in Kolkata's sex trade. We make quality jute bags and organic cotton t-shirts, but our business organisation is freedom!
If you are a follower of Ann Voskamp's blog A Holy Experience, yous might recognize Freeset as the organization for which Ann designed a bag for her 40th birthday celebration.
She asked her readers to #BeTheGift and buy bags from Freeset in order to free more girls from trafficking situations in India. Ann's readers are total rock star abolitionists, and they purchased every single handbag inside four hours of Ann's post going up on her weblog. The girls and I were privileged to be able to hop over to the Freeset offices on Tuesday to help package and transport orders out to Ann's readers.
It was awesome to have a {very} pocket-sized function in providing girls in Republic of india a chore other than sex trade. We were so excited to see how God used Ann's blog to sell so many numberless so apace. The bags, made by girls that take been rescued, are shipped to the US and sold for a profit. All profits are sent back to Freeset and then that they can provide more jobs for more rescued victims. 1 of the channels Freeset uses to sell bags is purchasing berth space at diverse Christian women'due south and/or blogging conferences and selling bags during the conference. Conference flavor is upon u.s.a., so Freeset had a HUGE shipment on the mode to Birmingham, which were to arrive yesterday morn. Well…
You lot might have seen in the news that there was a terrible plane crash at the Birmingham Airdrome yesterday involving a UPS airplane, in which two pilots lost their lives. We are devastated for them and their families. Another bad accident was that Freeset's shipment of thirteen,000 bags were on board that aeroplane. Now, bags are bags and people are people. Bags can be replaced, but the lives of the pilots cannot. We grieve for them and their families. To accolade the lives of the two pilots, Freeset has designed a memorial t-shirt, available on their site, with all proceeds going to the pilots' families. At the aforementioned time, the numberless lost represent $150,000 in sales and three month's of work for 200 Freeset girls in India, which translates to a whole lot of girls whose futures are uncertain because of a lack of funds. Additionally, Freeset needs the funds to exist able to rescue more than girls who are currently trapped in a hellish situation. Their lives are of import every bit well.
Only at that place is hope.
Our friends at Allume accept ready up a Pure Clemency business relationship for people to donate to Freeset in order to offset the lost wages. Y'all, it's simple. Just donate whatever amount you lot can. They suggest $25, which is the retail price of one bag, but please feel gratuitous to requite whatever amount you feel led to. Additionally, if you would like to purchase other items from Freeset, you can do so at their website. No dubiousness, at that place is a lot of money to make up to embrace the material losses. However, in times of peachy need, the Torso of Christ comes together and provides! I know that we tin practise it this time every bit well. Volition y'all do your part to aid the beautiful girls that come to Freeset?
Home Schoolhouse Room Makeover
Posted on Baronial xiii, 2013 Written by
This week is one of the most inspiring weeks Always when it comes to homeschooling. Information technology is the Not-Dorsum-To-School Blog Hop at iHomeschoolNetwork.com. This particular calendar week of the month-long hop is Habitation Schoolhouse Room week. They have hundreds of homeschool bloggers linking up to show their domicile schoolhouse rooms. The organization and creativity of this group of women ASTOUNDS me. Almost of these mamas have been homeschooling for years, and they have figured out what information technology takes to brand a school room run like clock work. They have tips and tricks for organization and space planning that I never would dream up on my own.
Last year as I looked through the posts during school room week, I came across i that would become my inspiration for renovating our own home school room. At present mind, you lot an home schoolhouse anywhere. For v years now we have done schoolhouse in the den, in our bedrooms, in the motorcar, at church building, at the library, and just about anywhere else we wanted to go. We only practise our best to make it work no thing where we are. Still, it actually works best to have a dedicated space at home to store books, papers, supplies, etc. We use a department of our finished basement as our school room. Though we are grateful for a dedicated space, it was pretty pitifully decorated. I used an old oversized desk that had almost no drawer infinite and a sharp corner on which I banged my knee every time I turned my chair. Mary Anneliese saturday at a half-dozen human foot folding tabular array in a metal folding chair. Nosotros had one closet we used for storage, but the trouble is that it is storage for many other things besides home school items. We were constantly crawling over rolls of wrapping newspaper and boxes of taxation records in order to get to the workbooks. We did this for five years. It's a wonder my children learned anything at all.
And so final year as I perused the beautiful, well organized dwelling house school room ideas, I got the itch to renovate our space. I could come up up with a thousand ways to rationalize spending the money on information technology, but the truth of the matter is you tin't become blood from a turnip and at that place was no blood in our turnip for school room furniture. Only I've tried to teach my girls that when you desire something badly enough you'll find a way to make information technology happen. We sold a few one-time pieces of furniture we had around the house and built upwardly the money in our article of furniture painting envelope (we're very sophisticated accountants effectually here). After several months of really hard work by MA and me, we had enough money to buy a few pieces for the new room. And having those few pieces gave u.s.a. the incentive to keep plugging abroad. On our last trip to Atlanta, we made the final purchases, and our home schoolhouse room brand-over is now complete!
We are in love with this space and are so grateful to have it. We started school last week, so we've spent a lot of time here recently. Nosotros couldn't exist happier with how much room we accept for schoolhouse work and how much storage space to continue all our STUFF. There are 33 cubbies in those volume shelves, and we demand every i of them to stay organized. I (center) the baskets to hide the smaller, messier items similar loose paper and crayons. Otherwise, those things have over and make your room look trashed all the time.
Almost all of the article of furniture came from Ikea, including the tables and chairs. We wanted a nice, large work surface so that we could each have our ain infinite to spread out. We are so happy to all fit well around our big table.
These baskets from Target work perfectly with large Stonemason jars to keep scissors, pencils, rulers, markers, etc. within arm's attain, simply all the same tucked neatly away.
Though we are notwithstanding looking for one more piece of artwork to complete the top of the volume shelves, we added a few vintage items for fun. Jonathan's dad gave the girls his former microscope and lab set. We haven't opened it yet to see if information technology's notwithstanding functional, but I love the metal casing enough to keep it just for looks.
We likewise added a world which I received from Santa when I was in simple school. Don't ask. Santa must have been having a difficult time coming up with ideas that twelvemonth. However, my pack-rat tendencies paid off because nosotros use this thing at least weekly equally we study history.
The Pottery Barn rug was a purchase on Mount Brook Trading. I don't know if you have local facebook trading pages, but I accept bought and sold a TON of stuff on ours for some really corking deals. I believe it was $75 because it needed to be cleaned. Our sugariness neighbour allow u.s. borrow her steam cleaner, and it was soon as skilful as new. I am waiting on the upholsterers to finish the cushions for the rocker in the corner. I constitute information technology at a thrift store and painted information technology white. I paid $10 for the rocker, $12 for the pigment, and $150 for the reupholstering. Something doesn't seem right about that. However, it volition be nice to have a rocker in the room considering my little Pitter Patter usually sits in my lap for reading time. Not gonna lie, information technology'southward ane of the best parts of my day.
We absolutely adore our new space. Information technology has already been so handy. However, no affair what your home school room looks like, the best part is looking across the tabular array and seeing the ones who make information technology all worth information technology…

he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,

I was overcome past distress and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of the Lord:

The Lord protects the unwary;
when I was brought low, he saved me.

Grape Salad with Cashews
Posted on Baronial 9, 2013 Written by
Our family loves whatsoever reason to get together. Those family gatherings usually involve food because well, nosotros're all a bunch of foodies. Grape salad is a dish my mom has made in years past, just we've only recently brought back effectually. My sis-in-law asked for the recipe the other solar day and information technology reminded me that I'd never shared it with you lot all. Grape salad is a cool refreshing way to serve a petty fruit with your meal, even if the sugary goodness of the dressing completes out whatever healthy do good the grapes bring to the tabular array 🙂 Information technology is a fabulous compliment to BBQ, grilled chicken, and baked ham. Grape salad is a great tailgating dish also. It'due south piece of cake to make alee and pull out of the fridge at meal fourth dimension. I commonly wait until I'm gear up to serve it to put on the basics so they stay nice and crunchy. Here'southward what y'all'll demand for grape salad:
8 cups of grapes (I employ a combo of green and red)
8 oz sour foam
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup cashews (Pecans or walnuts would be yummy, besides)
1/4 loving cup chocolate-brown sugar
Launder and de-stem (is that a word?) grapes. In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream and cream cheese with mixer. Add together white sugar and mix well. To the creamy mixture, add the grapes and mix together, blanket all grapes well. Transfer to serving dish. Refrigerate for nearly thirty minutes before serving. When gear up to serve, sprinkle brown sugar and cashews on height.
Hope y'all bask grape salad as much as the Mills/Hill clan does!

Back to School Prayers
Posted on August 7, 2013 Written by
It's back-to-school fourth dimension around here. We started our homeschool yr this calendar week, and many of our public and individual schoolhouse friends are beginning again this week. Dorsum-to-school time can be simply as busy or even more and so for parents every bit it is for children. Equally moms, i of the best ways we tin can serve our children during this fourth dimension is by praying for them. Whether your children are excited or fearful, unsure or confident, a good student or one who struggles, your prayers can brand a world of departure for them. As always, praying God'due south discussion over them is a powerful and effective way of standing against the work of the Enemy in their lives. Here are a few back to schoolhouse prayers straight from scripture to help guide you every bit you elevator your children before the Lord:
Philippians 4:half-dozen-7 – Lord, I pray that my children volition not be anxious for anything equally they go dorsum to school. Phone call them to Yourself in prayer and then that they will submit their requests to You with thanksgiving. Grant them Your peace in their hearts and minds in such smashing measure that they are blown abroad.
Colossians 3:23 – Male parent, aid my children to understand that whatsoever piece of work they do is not to please teachers or even to please their parents, but information technology is ultimately to please You, their Heavenly Father. They piece of work for You and not for anyone else.
2 Corinthians 12:9 – Lord, grant that my children may rest in the fact that Your grace is sufficient to carry them through whatever comes their way. When challenges arise that are too much for them, You are carrying them by Your groovy strength.
Philippians 4:eight – Jesus, when nosotros compare ourselves to others, it is piece of cake to focus on means we don't measure out upward instead of focusing on what You take fabricated us to exist. In those moments, remind my children to focus on what is true, what is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatsoever is lovely and of good report. Lord, if in that location is anything practiced or praiseworthy, aid her to meditate on those things.
Isaiah 43:2 – Lord, schoolhouse tin be overwhelming. Turn my children's attention to the fact that when they laissez passer through the waters, You lot are with them. When they get through rivers, they will not be overtaken. When they must walk through fire, You volition be with them and volition protect them from existence scorched.
Isaiah 54:17 – Father, the Enemy is always on the hunt to damage united states. I speak Your word over my kid that says no weapon formed confronting them shall prosper and every natural language that rises against them in sentence shall be condemned. It is their heritage as Your servants and Your righteousness will protect them.
Matthew 5:ix – Jesus, Your teach us that those who make peace in troublesome situations will exist chosen Your sons. May my children be instruments of Your peace in situations full of strife and arguing.
Psalm 133:one – Lord, according to Your word, it is good and pleasant when Your children live together in unity. Father, give them godly friends at school with whom they are united. Matthew 5:6 – Jesus, Yous teach us that Y'all will bless those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. In this world at that place are many distractions that my children could follow. Place in them such a hunger and thirst for Your ways that they aren't interested in the ways of the earth. Consume their thoughts, hearts, and minds with Yourself that they might exist filled with You lot.
Proverbs i:5 – Father, Your word tells usa that a wise man will hear and increase learning and that a man of agreement volition attain wise counsel. Brand them wise.
Matthew 12:35 – Jesus, Y'all tell u.s.a. that a good homo out of the adept treasure of his heart brings forth good things, while an evil man out of the evil in his heart brings along evil things. I accept tried to shop up adept in my child's centre. Help them to be ministers of adept so that they reap goodness from others. Quickly show them ways in which they might be sowing evil so that they tin correct their ways. Requite them wisdom in dealing with other children whose means aren't full of goodness.
Romans 12:ii – Father, this globe is not our final dwelling house. Assistance my children non to be conformed to this earth. Help them to set their minds on the fact that nosotros live this life for a greater purpose than entertaining ourselves. Grant that they could be then gospel-minded that they aren't swayed by the ways of the ungodly, but that they would always live with a crystal clear focus on winning this earth to Your kingdom.
Precious readers, I stand up in agreement with you in prayer that God wants GOOD for your children. He created them for the purpose of loving Him and serving His people. I pray with you that they would follow Him all of their days and in and then doing find protection, joy, peace, and life.
Hill Prep 2013-2014: Homeschool Curriculum Choices
Posted on August 7, 2013 Written past
School started this week for the students of the Hill Preparatory School for Girls. The girls were ready and then was I. Summer was fun and restful, but we were gear up to get back into our school groove. Nosotros take finalized our homeschool curriculum choices for both girls. Aye, "both" – equally in, I take TWO students this year. MA is entering sixth course – A MIDDLE SCHOOLER!!! – and Patterson will exist in Kindergarten – KINDERGARTEN!!! It's a large year for both of them, and I'thousand thrilled to be along for the ride. When God clearly issued the phone call to usa to homeschool, I had no idea the fun we'd take. It's such a approval to me to be with my girls all day every day. It's a big challenge, no doubtfulness, just nosotros've found our rhythm and adore our fourth dimension together each twenty-four hour period.
I experience like we refine our choices every yr. This year I'k loosening up on a few places we've been too rigorous and clamping down all the more tightly on what we feel is actually important. The entire purpose of educating our children (whether through homeschool, public school, or whatsoever!) is and so that they tin can clearly communicate the gospel of Jesus in whatever circumstance and to whatever group God places them. After all, the all-time teaching in the world does not mean a thing if they aren't regularly discussing THE Master Thing. So with that idea in mind, we take tweaked a little this twelvemonth. On to our homeschool curriculum…
Let's start with our 6th form girl:
Math: Saxon is still our #ane choice for math. We honey it. It repeats and repeats and repeats (see what I did there?) so that there really isn't any room for missing concepts. We'll exist on Math seven/6
this year. Since Saxon jumps effectually a little, I might have a petty homeschooling freedom and teach a consummate concept at once. Novel idea, I know.
Bible: We are continuing on our journey through the Bible. We started reading straight from the Bible and discussing the text when MA was in first class. We've made it through Ezekiel and volition outset Daniel next week. I might accept to do a petty inquiry, every bit there is and so much prophecy in Daniel. Hoping my pupil and I can sort it all out. I'd honey it if we could cease the books of prophecy this twelvemonth so that we tin can movement on to the New Testament next year. Nosotros'll meet.
I know I've said it earlier, but reading the Bible through has been one of the best parts most homeschooling. Information technology has given united states such a fabulous overview of God's story, simply it has likewise given usa fourth dimension to pick apart details and process them. Every bit the teacher, I've had to be on my game. When MA asks questions, she'southward not looking for a Lord's day school answer. She wants the real explanation, so I've had to actually dig in to the scriptures to ready myself. All-time bible report Always.
And because I desire my girls to have God'south word stored upwards in their hearts, nosotros volition continue our scripture retentivity programme. We are firm believers in committing God's discussion to memory so that it becomes a role of who we are, how nosotros treat people, and what our purpose is. I have talked at length nigh why nosotros study scripture and the method we use that works best for us. I'd love to encourage you, even if you aren't homeschoolers, to regularly participate in Bible reading and scripture retentivity with your family. Nosotros so frequently recall our children will just absorb God'southward word if we take them to church, only we have to be purposeful and hold them accountable or it doesn't happen.
Scientific discipline: We have been quite pleased with Apologia's science curriculum, and then we will be using it once again this year. It is a bible-based science curriculum that is not only scientifically authentic, but it presents scientific discipline from a biblical point of view. Our next book is Exploring Creation with Human Beefcake and Physiology. I suppose sixth class is a good year to learn some of the differences in boys and girls, so nosotros will utilize our science curriculum as a springboard for discussion. We will as well use What's the Big Bargain?: Why God Cares About Sexual activity I know. I can't recall well-nigh information technology too much or I'll be a mess. My daughter is growing up.
Grammer/Writing: This is a tricky one. We have used Rod & Staff grammar books for the final few years and we honestly loved their resources. But as skilful equally their resources are, MA hates grammar. She just does. So this twelvemonth I've decided to back off on having a formal grammar curriculum and let her write a lot more. After all, good writing is the aim of studying grammer in the first place. And I so want for her to know how to eloquently and conspicuously communicate what she wants to say that I'chiliad excited to focus on sharpening her writing skills. I volition more than than likely apply the Student Writing Intensive from the Plant for Excellence in Writing. I need to do a piddling more research on this, as I'chiliad not really sure how to jump into their curriculum. Merely I've been considering their resources for the past few years, and I've decided that this is a good time to add together them to our day. I'1000 hoping that by leaving off grammar and moving into a writing-based time, nosotros can put into practice all that we've learned from Rod & Staff. At the least, we'll exist able to identify strengths and weaknesses in language evolution and will know whether to motion ahead or go back to a formal grammer curriculum. I'm hoping for fabled writing that will change the world. Not besides much to await, right?
Spelling: We take moved through learning the spelling rules, then we will now focus on usually misspelled words. Our history text, scientific discipline text, and writing mistakes will be the source of our spelling lists. We'll also pull a few from lists of ordinarily misspelled words.
History: While we love Story of the World and will continue to use it in the second half of our school yr, I take chosen to begin the year with an in-depth study of Greek and Roman history. Even though we take covered those eras twice now, I still experience like there is so much more for us to learn. We have already started digging into Roman history with our written report of "Horatius at the Bridge." It has been a fabulous resources from Memoria Press. Subsequently we're done with that, we will move to Memoria Printing'southward The Book of the Ancient Greeks. I'm looking forward to this study equally much every bit MA is. She loves Greek and Roman history, and I'll acknowledge that I've picked upward on her enthusiasm.
Latin: Visual Latin was our best friend last year, and we will be using it again this year. MA found their videos to exist much more than engaging and interesting than learning from a textbook. Imagine that! We will use the Latin versions of Olivia, The Giving Tree, and Ferdinand the Bull as reading a "real" story is much more helpful than reading Latin primers.
Fine Arts: Nosotros are so sad to say that afterwards much consideration and prayer, we will be leaving the Briarwood Ballet this year. We are grateful for the years of instruction in ballet and godly life that MA has received at Briarwood. This year marks the bespeak at which she would enter their very rigorous intensive program, and she doesn't want to give upwardly her other activities in order to pursue a career in ballet. She's just not ready to decide on a career path at this point in life, so nosotros are walking away. She won't be giving upwards ballet, even so, equally she will take from another local ballet studio that doesn't ask students to give up all other activities in order to dance with their plan. This will as well allow her to sing in the sixth grade choir at church on Wednesday nights. We will attend every bit many theater productions as nosotros can, commonly almost five per year. All the same working on a way to incorporate more music and painting/drawing into our days, but correct at present our days are full.
PE: MA is over again playing on a competitive soccer squad, which will give her most vi hours each calendar week of playing and practice time. She will be running her fiddling patootie off, not that she has anything to run off. She has also been asked to exist a regular sub for another competitive soccer squad, so I believe she volition be getting plenty of exercise.
And now for Kindergarten:
I'm probably manner more laid dorsum about kindergarten than almost people. I really don't get besides worked upwardly nearly formal curricula. I have a workbook I will employ to teach bones math skills. I volition use my Saxon Math manipulatives kit for hands-on learning. Nosotros will read, read, and read more. The library is our habitation away from home, as we go 2 or iii times each week to check out more books. Nosotros read fairy tales, bible story books, science books, biographies, story books, and whatsoever other kinds of books that look interesting. Nosotros will include Patterson in our theater trips this yr since she is finally onetime enough to actually enjoy the plot. She will have a tumbling course weekly and play soccer. We'll do lots of play dates and church activities. Similar I said, information technology's a loose plan, but i that works for united states.
I know that sounds like a lot of educational planning, but y'all I am not kidding about being more than laid back about things this year. I'm realizing that my time with these girls is so brusque that I can't spend all my time focusing on volume work. If I do, I will neglect the fourth dimension I should be spending on building grapheme and giving them a vision to attain the nations for Christ. I've said it many times, but I really practice mean it: If nosotros end the twelvemonth with ii girls who dearest the Lord, have a desire to serve to His people, and alive life with kindness, joy, and humility then I volition consider it a very successful year. Even the best homeschool curriculum can't teach that.
If you are looking for curriculum choices for our previous years, come across our fifth grade twelvemonth, quaternary class year, tertiary grade year, and our second course year.

Sriracha Dipping Sauce
Posted on August 6, 2013 Written by
I don't know much, just I do know this: a good sauce makes whatsoever dish amend. The other twenty-four hours nosotros made Chicken and Waffles for lunch, and nosotros had some leftover chicken fingers. Today I heated them upwards for lunch, but I needed a new dipping sauce. I remembered a flossy sriracha dipping sauce I'd seen somewhere forth the way, and information technology sounded like the perfect compliment to my fried chicken.
1 cup mayo
1 teaspoon garlic pulverisation
1/4 teaspoon paprika
4 tablespoons sriracha (a footling more if y'all like it spicier)
You lot can't get much more unproblematic than that list of ingredients! All y'all do is mix those ingredients together and serve it up! It doesn't get much easier than this.
It was then succulent on my fried chicken tenders that I tried it on my grilled hamburger tonight. Perfect! Information technology would also be succulent on rosemary oven fries or sugariness potato fries. It is super good with a piece of grilled chicken or a grilled craven sandwich. Y'all be artistic and let me know what y'all try it on.
Creamy Sriracha Dipping Sauce is a unproblematic fashion to dress up any casual repast! Information technology is and then simple that it doesn't have to be reserved for meals. Nosotros eat it with so many snacks that I make a batch and keep it in the fridge in a stonemason jar. The girls love to pull information technology out anytime! It'southward no wonder this has become one of my most popular recipes on Pinterest!

Horatius at the Span
Posted on August 5, 2013 Written past
The girls and I have had a wonderful first day of schoolhouse today. MA started the twenty-four hours with soccer camp, which she will participate in for the next three days, and Pitter Patter started her kindergarten mean solar day with a little reading and practicing numbers. Good stuff.
We are using several new resources this yr, every bit we do each year. Instead of jumping right into our history curriculum I take decided to dig a little deeper into Greek and Roman history. Although we have studied the Greek and Roman empires twice at present, I still experience like there is so much to acquire that we've barely scratched the surface. Nosotros used Memoria Press's "Famous Men of Rome" last yr equally a supplement to our "Story of the Globe" volume, so I searched their website for a few more supplements to use this twelvemonth. I gotta tell ya, I dear their classical studies resources. I feel like they probably take the about extensive and thorough materials for middle and upper grade students bachelor anywhere. I've used their "Intro to Classical Studies" set for a couple of years. I of our favorite stories from "Famous Men of Rome" was the story of Horatius, and then I decided to start with their "Horatius at the Bridge" text.
I dearest the story of this classic poem. Every ancient guild told stories, songs, and poems every bit a fashion of handing down their history. With no formal alphabet or way of writing, they told stories verbally. Most of the stories were eventually written downwardly to serve as a permanent record of events. However, we don't accept any ballads from the ancient Romans. We believe, of form, that they existed, just there is no tape of them now. In 1842, Englishman Thomas Babington Macaulay wrote this poem in the way that would have been popular in the Roman Empire times to record the story of Horatius and his battle against the Etrurians. Macaulay idea the poem was a trifle, merely it has become a classic that students are still reading and memorizing over 150 years later.
Memoria Press'south book includes the text of the poem in its entirety (70 stanzas) as well as background history, definitions, pupil guide, maps, history and a test. The book is available for $14.95 from the Memoria Press website. It actually is all you lot demand in society to teach students the poem. Nosotros started today with the background info. We reread the affiliate from "Famous Men of Rome" on Horatius to refresh our memory of who he was. And so we jumped right in with the commencement three stanzas of the poem. I chose to study the poem with this resources considering I wanted to fully immerse us in the culture and writing of the Roman Empire. This resource DELIVERS! We learned more today about the geography of Rome, which is a huge function of agreement the Roman Empire and how information technology rose and brutal, than we take in two years of reading from a textbook.
I can truly say without hesitation that we would apply this resource for a fun historical read even if we weren't studying it as function of our history curriculum. It has me so excited about studying it the next few weeks and then moving on to some of the other Greek and Roman history guides. (More on those later.)
Memoria Press sent me "Horatius at the Bridge" to review for this post. All opinions most their book are entirely my own. I really exercise similar it that much. 🙂
Spicy Drip Beef Sandwiches
Posted on August 4, 2013 Written by
Tonight makes the tertiary time in a week I've eaten spicy drip beef sandwiches for dinner. I can't aid information technology. They're only that good. We've made information technology several dissimilar means, and they are all delicious. Spicy drip beef is a great way to use up all the leftover peppers (and fifty-fifty beef, for that matter) that collect in the refrigerator.
I'll give yous my recipe, but the truth of the matter is that you can employ most any cut of beef and well-nigh whatsoever assortment of peppers that you like or have on hand.
I started with a chuck roast, but I've also used a London broil. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder it upwardly really well. Sear it on both sides on a hot skillet with a little olive oil.
